Divali II
Acrylic on canvas, 30" x 48" - Private collection
Scott Allen's background in studio art derives primarily from study of figure drawing with Suzanne Bothwell at UCLA. In addition to Bothwell, influences from Paul Gauguin, Milton Avery, and Frida Kahlo are prevalent in his work. Acrylic paintings and portraits of African American women and Asian women distinguish his style. Allen has shown in Los Angeles at Speezy Gallery and Cafe Latte.
